The windy weather in Chicago was not helping the house fire that occurred on Foster Avenue. Standing across the street with most of the neighborhood, I was thinking if I should go help. As I was still watching the house go up in flames, no one saw me change into my invisible cloak. Not one person saw me go from Raquel to what the news and most people call "The Invisible Helper!" Walking across the street and getting closer to the house, I hear a dogs bark inside the house. It wasn't any kind of bark, it was Buddy. Buddy was not like any other dog, he was one of my friends. I knew Buddy ever since the Gene Family got him two Christmases ago. Every time the family went on vacation I would watch over and take care of him. I was guessing the family went out for a little bite to eat because they were not home.
Since no one could see me, I ran into the burning house and kept hearing the barking. The barking continued until I found Buddy lying there just staring at me with fear in his eyes. I grab him and carry him out of the burning household. As I got outside, the fireman stared at the dog in surprise wondering how the dog just appeared on the grass in front of the house. As I walked away and back to my house, the firemen were still trying to put out the fire on the house and the citizens of Foster Avenue that were watching the house fire starting chanting "The Invisible Helper!" Even though still no one could see me I held my head up high with a smile on my face and feeling like I was on top of the world.
