If I were a teacher at Wood-Ridge Jr/Sr High School, I would add a fashion class to our school. Since we don't have a class like this I think it would be a good experience for students to be the first to learn about fashion in this school. The class would meet after school but only for at least 20 minutes. Every Wednesday, the students would work on sewing and making cloth into clothing. At the end of the year we would make an entire outfit to see who would wear it in public!
The classroom would be full of many future fashion designers ready to work hard. Some classroom assignments would be to make your own fashion magazine. The students would get their friends to model in their magazine. I'd hope for the students to feel comfortable in the classroom atmosphere. During the middle of the school semester we would take a class trip to FIT which is the of Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. I hope the students enjoy this class a lot!
